Paleogene Period

Base on my research paleogene  is the first period of cenozoic era began 66 millions years ago ran until 23 millions years ago.This period Earth has beginning to recover from the utter destruction of K-T  Extinction and this period the continents has began to shape when small mammals began to evolve in the jungles and when some mammals began to become huge. This period contains three epochs during in this period include the Paleocene, the Eocene and the Oligocene.

Paleocene epoch is the first epoch of the paleocene period this epoch began in 66 to 56 million years ago.In this epoch the continents has began to separated from each other and the earth has began to warm.

Eocene epoch is the second epoch  of the paleogene period this epoch began 56 to 39.9 millions years ago.This epoch mamals continue to ivolve during this epoch.During this time, early primates, horses, and whales began to evolve. Sitting on the top of the food chain was birds, the only time non-dinosaur birds would occupy this top niche.

Oligocene epoch is the extended epoch of the paleogene period this epoch began 33.9 to 23 million years ago.In this epoch many species ivolve during this epoch include of cats,dogs and elephants.And the trees and grass are expanding all over the world.
